Position Overview: As a Video Editor, you will bring more than technical expertise, you will be a storyteller who captures the essence of our brand through powerful, visually engaging narratives. With a strong foundation in videography, pacing, and visual design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the brand narrative across multiple school identities. You won’t just be editing footage; you’ll be telling the story of who we are and what we stand for. From showcasing student innovation to capturing the energy of school events and educator reflections, your work will deepen how students, parents, educators, and the broader community experience and connect with our mission. In this role, you will be responsible for filming, editing, and delivering high-quality video content across multiple formats and platforms—including social media, websites, internal communications, and larger brand campaigns. Your creative outputs will be central to how our schools are seen, felt, and remembered. We’re looking for someone who combines technical proficiency with creative sensitivity, someone who can confidently operate a camera, direct and capture interviews and live events, and craft polished, emotionally resonant videos. You’ll need a sharp eye for composition, pacing, music selection, and narrative flow, along with a solid understanding of what connects with audiences in both digital and educational spaces. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualize and Execute Video Projects : Develop creative concepts and narratives for video projects aligned with the brand identity of each school. Film High-Quality Video Content : Capture footage from live school events, classroom activities, educator interviews, student showcases, and more ensuring high production quality. Edit and Produce Engaging Videos : Use video editing software to create polished, impactful videos tailored for multiple platforms including social media, websites, and internal communications. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Suite products, using these tools to craft high-quality content. Storytelling and Narrative Crafting: Shape compelling stories that reflect the values, mission, and spirit of the schools, connecting emotionally with diverse audiences. Musical Flair: Exhibit a great taste in music, aligning video content with ongoing musical trends to enhance viewer engagement. Trendspotting: Stay abreast of the latest trends and memes popular among the educators community, integrating them creatively into our video content. Collaboration: Work closely with our creative team, contributing to brainstorming sessions and offering fresh, innovative ideas. Key Skills & Competencies: Proven experience as a Video Editor with a portfolio showcasing your work. Strong understanding of current trends and memes within the K12 community. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Suite software. A passion for storytelling, especially in the context of education and university life. Integrating Video editing with Photography will be a plus. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, Multimedia Arts, or a related field is preferred. Experience : At least 2–5 years of experience in video editing, preferably in a corporate, agency, or freelance setting, is required Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects, including commercials, social media content, documentaries, and corporate videos, demonstrates versatility and skill.
