JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group Account Director – Medical Services to join our growing team under the Symbiotix arm of Havas. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales and business development within the medical devices / pharma/ healthcare industry paired with deep domain knowledge of healthcare and the ability to translate scientific insights into business opportunities. This role is a key growth enabler for our integrated healthcare communication business. We’re looking for a go-getter with a proven track record in sales, strong client engagement skills, and a flair for driving medically compliant, insight-led communication solutions, with an in-depth understanding of clinical research, CME programs, and KOL engagement. JOB DESCRIPTION Business Development & Sales Leadership Drive business development efforts across healthcare, pharma, and medical device verticals, with a minimum annual revenue target of ₹3 Crores. Build, nurture, and leverage strong relationships across the industry — including pharma clients, medical associations, hospital ecosystems, and healthcare marketing professionals — to fuel growth and influence. Create high-impact proposals, client presentations, and RFP responses with a sharp sales and value-driven lens. Work closely with Havas leadership and Symbiotix teams to align with strategic growth goals. Build, nurture, and leverage a strong network of industry contacts, including pharma clients, medical associations, and healthcare marketing professionals. Client Relationship & Strategic Engagement Build and manage long-term, trusted relationships with key clients, particularly in the healthcare sector. Serve as a strategic partner and commercial lead for clients, helping them navigate medico-marketing, patient education, clinical engagement, and scientific communication initiatives. Lead client strategy sessions, annual brand planning discussions, and innovation brainstorming with cross-functional teams. Medical & Scientific Communication Oversight Collaborate with medical writers, scientific strategists, and design teams to oversee CME programs, scientific content, and KOL engagement plans, clinical trial communication, and medico marketing campaigns. Ensure delivery of compliant, scientifically accurate, and customer-centric communication strategies. Bring in commercial intelligence from the healthcare sector to shape differentiated service offerings. KOL Engagement & Program Execution Identify and onboard relevant KOLs and healthcare experts aligned to client portfolios. Drive execution of webinars, panel discussions, advisory boards, CMEs, and medical events, both online and in-person. Build strong rapport with medical societies, clinical investigators, and academic institutions. Work Environment & Travel This is a client-facing, high-engagement role that will require periodic domestic travel for client meetings, conferences, medical events, and business development. Candidate should be comfortable with on-ground presence at hospitals, medical associations, and scientific events as needed to drive relationship-building and project execution. Key Requirements: Education: Graduate / Postgraduate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or Healthcare Management. MBA in Marketing / Healthcare Management preferred. Experience: 12+ years of experience, preferably in sales or commercial strategy roles in medical industry (devices/ pharma). Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue goals, managing client relationships, and delivering commercial value. Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models, clinical workflows, and medico-marketing practices. Prior exposure to scientific/medical communication, KOL management, and CME execution is a plus. Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong commercial mindset with ability to convert scientific insights into revenue opportunities. Proven leadership, team management, and project ownership abilities. Energetic, persistent, and self-motivated—a true go-getter with client-first attitude.
