Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Inward Logistics: Oversee and manage the end-to-end inbound supply chain process, including supplier coordination, transportation, and storage. Optimize material movement from vendors to warehouses and production units, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruptions. Monitor inventory levels and ensure synchronization between procurement, warehouse, and production teams. Outward Logistics: Plan and manage outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Ensure on-time delivery of finished goods to customers or distributors while minimizing costs and improving service levels. Develop and implement robust tracking and reporting mechanisms for outbound logistics. Import/Export Operations: Manage import and export processes, including documentation, shipment tracking, and supplier coordination. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including INCOTERMS, duties, and tariffs. Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and transporters to manage international shipments effectively. Customs Clearance: Ensure compliance with local and international customs laws and regulations. Oversee the preparation and submission of customs documentation for imports and exports. Build and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies. Strategic Planning & Team Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics costs, enhance operational efficiency, and support organizational goals. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, production, sales) to ensure alignment with business objectives. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations and monitor performance. Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights into logistics performance, cost analysis, and improvement plans. Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify and mitigate risks related to logistics operations, including transportation delays, regulatory non-compliance, and inventory discrepancies. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of (10-15) years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, and customs clearance, with at least (5-7) years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation. Proven experience in managing large-scale logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach. Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is a plus. Key Attributes: Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision and day-to-day operations.
