Job Title: Nephrologist Location: (Fortis Hospital), (Faridabad) Department: Nephrology Reports To: Head – Department of Nephrology / Medical Director Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nephrologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney-related disorders and will provide high-quality patient care, including dialysis management, chronic kidney disease (CKD) treatment, and transplant follow-up. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney conditions such as CKD, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and electrolyte imbalances. Provide care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patients with complex medical conditions. Evaluate patients for kidney transplantation and provide post-transplant care. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as renal biopsies, ultrasound, and kidney function tests. Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications. Participate in inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency consultations. Maintain accurate and complete medical records. Stay updated on the latest developments in nephrology through continuing medical education (CME). Contribute to clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives as needed. Qualifications: DM/DNB in Nephrology from a recognized institution. Valid medical license and registration with the relevant medical council. Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred. Skills and Competencies: Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and patient-focused approach. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with dialysis technology and nephrology-related procedures.
