Job Title: Sr. Associate – Trims Location: Bangalore Experience: 7–9 Years Domain: Automotive Product Design & Development Job Description: We are looking for a Sr. Associate – Trims with a strong background in automotive design to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in interiors, exteriors, sheet metal, and plastic trims and demonstrate expertise in New Product Development (NPD) using tools like CATIA and NX . Key Responsibilities: End-to-end design and development of interior and exterior trims , sheet metal , and plastic components Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support NPD projects from concept to production Ensure Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles are followed Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and implement corrective measures Work with vendors and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and quality Interpret and apply GD&T to engineering drawings Prepare and review design documentation, 3D models, and 2D drawings Communicate effectively with stakeholders and participate in design reviews Required Skills: Strong working knowledge of CATIA V5 and NX Proven experience in: Interior trims – dashboards, consoles, door trims Exterior trims – bumpers, grills, claddings Sheet metal design Plastic part design Good understanding of casting (optional but preferred) Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis Familiarity with DFMA and DFMEA Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering Prior experience working in the automotive or OEM sector Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-Time
