Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai for a Modular Kitchen Designer. The Modular Kitchen Designer will be responsible for designing kitchen and wardrobe spaces, providing customer service, effective communication with clients, sales of cabinetry, and ensuring client satisfaction. Client Consultation: · Meet clients to understand their kitchen/wardrobe requirements, preferences, and budget constraints. · Recommend suitable materials, finishes and accessories. Price Proposals: · Prepare price estimates for the proposed kitchen designs including labor and material while making sure the design aligns with the client expectations. · Optimize kitchen layout & functionality considering factors such as workflows, ergonomics and storage capacity. · Present design concepts and proposals to client incorporating their feedback and making necessary adjustments. Project Coordination: · Make appropriate BOQ’s to be submitted to the panel manufacturers and place an order for procurement of hardware and accessories. · Regularly follow up with vendors to ensure timely production, dispatch, and delivery to the client. · Maintain detailed records of every interaction, changes and requests made by the client and ensure the same are approved in written communication. Ensure the same is reflected in the design plan as duly approved by the client. · Ensure the furniture is installed as per the specifications and the quality through seamless interaction with the client, architects and our in-house designer. · Interact and manage a team of junior designers for functions such as site measurements, drawings, quotations, coordination between vendors, client servicing and handling complaints. Showroom Display: · Ensure the kitchen display is maintained as prescribed. · Maintain a ledger of all samples that are sent to clients for approval and ensure the same are duly returned. New Product Development and Research: · Research new trends and designs in the industry · Present new findings and brainstorm new product development with the management team · Identify areas of improvements in operations, product offerings and service and suggest remedies/new ideas. Qualifications Kitchen & Wardrobe Design and Cabinetry skills Customer Service and Communication skills Experience in modular kitchen design is mandatory Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of current trends in kitchen design Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
