Designation: Subcontract Manager (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) Experience: 5 - 30 years Qualification: Diploma/B.E in specific discipline The Subcontracting Manager is responsible for overseeing the identification, selection, and management of subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves negotiating contracts, monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements, and maintaining effective communication between internal teams and external subcontractors. Key Responsibilities: Subcontractor Selection & Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors based on project needs, quality standards, and compliance requirements. Issue and manage Request for Quotation (RFQs) for subcontracted work. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with subcontractors. Ensure that subcontractors have the appropriate qualifications, experience, and capabilities to fulfill the project requirements. Contract Management: Develop and maintain detailed subcontract agreements. Monitor compliance with contractual terms, including deadlines, quality standards, and safety protocols. Resolve disputes and issues related to contract performance or delivery. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure subcontractors meet the specified deliverables on time and within the agreed-upon budget. Conduct regular site visits or meetings to assess the quality of work and adherence to safety regulations. Report on subcontractor performance and provide recommendations for improvements. Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between subcontractors and the company’s internal teams (e.g., project managers, procurement team, and legal department). Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all subcontracted work aligns with project goals and timelines. Address any concerns, queries, or issues raised by subcontractors or internal stakeholders. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that subcontractors comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Manage risks associated with subcontracting, such as delays, cost overruns, or non-compliance with contractual obligations.
