Scope of Service: Clinical & Administrative services – Obstetrics Wards & Eclampsia UnitProfessional & Educational Qualification:GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.Valid State Registration in India if not from Maharashtra Nursing Council3. Desirable Certification:Preferred Certification in Obstetrics Nursing / Nursing Administration.Preferably Valid certification in Basic Trauma Life Support /Basic Life Support / Advanced Cardiac Life SupportEvidence of participation in various programs & update & maintain current professional knowledge & clinical skills4.Professional Experience:Total 7 years of experience in the area of specializationShould be well versed in written & verbal languages – English, Hindi & Marathi.Computer proficiency in Microsoft office – word, excel, power point & email communication.5.Core Job ResponsibilitiesTo provide Nursing leadership, management and direction in regards to setting and maintaining quality standards, staff development and resource management in the daily operation of the unit.To maintain adequate nurse patient ratio & should be well versed in contingency & disaster management plans of the organization.To recognize legal implications and responsibility in practice of nursingTo be able to resolve issues arising from customer / staff dissatisfaction, conflict resolution to the utmost outcome as desired.To be skilled in handling all clinical procedures, pathways & codes arising in the departmentTo maintain administrative records pertaining to Types of deliveries & Procedures, and all other documents as per state government & NMC guidelines & as required by the administration.6.Specific Core SkillsAssessment of Pregnant woman & ensuring antenatal care in various trimesters.CTG Monitoring & interpretationPreparing & assisting for a Normal Delivery & Assisted deliveryImmediate Care of New born baby & transportationGuidance & Counselling related to Breast FeedingMonitoring of post-partum mother & identify complicationsResponse to Emergency Obstetric codesTransfer of patient for emergency LSCS, preferably ability to assist for emergency LSCSAssisting in Medical Termination of pregnancy & disposal of foetus as per guidelinesAbility to coach & mentor team members
