Scope of Service: Clinical & Administrative services – Adult Medical & Surgical WardsProfessional & Educational Qualification:GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.Valid State Registration in India if not from Maharashtra Nursing Council3.Desirable Certification:Preferred Certification in Critical Care Nursing / Nursing Administration.Preferably Valid certification in Basic & Advanced Life Support / Basic Trauma Life SupportEvidence of participation in various programs & update & maintain current professional knowledge & clinical skills.Professional Experience:Total 7 years of experience in the area of specializationShould be well versed in written & verbal languages – English, Hindi & Marathi.Computer proficiency in Microsoft office – word, excel, power point & email communication.5.Core Job ResponsibilitiesTo provide Nursing leadership, management and direction in regards to setting and maintaining quality standards, staff development and resource management in the daily operation of the unit.To maintain adequate nurse patient ratio & should be well versed in contingency & disaster management plans of the organization.To recognize legal implications and responsibility in practice of nursingTo be able to resolve issues arising from customer / staff dissatisfaction, conflict resolution to the utmost outcome as desired.To be skilled in handling all clinical procedures, pathways & codes arising in the departmentTo maintain administrative records pertaining to Specialty based Admission & Discharge Census, Outpatient Consultations, Transfer of patient, & any other as per state government & NMC guidelines & as required by the administration.6.Specific Core SkillsGeneral Assessment & Reassessment of adult patientsRisk assessment & mitigation of risk e.g. Falls, Pressure Ulcers, Medication errors, accidental removal of lines & tubes etc.Inter departmental Processes – Admission, Discharge, Transfer within & outside hospital etc.Inventory Management – Indent, Storage & Consumption of drugs & consumablesManagement of high alert medications & NarcoticsAdherence to Infection Control Policies & Biomedical waste segregationHandling of Biomedical Equipment & asset trackingWell versed with all clinical procedures done in Inpatient areasCompetent to identify & handle medical emergencies – skilled in providing BLS, ACLS, PALS etc.Management of various codes within the organization
