Lead and manage the Quality Control function, ensuring all materials, components, and final products meet aerospace and defense quality standardsDevelop and implement quality control processes aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and other applicable standardsOversee inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process items, and final products using advanced tools and techniquesManage and mentor QC engineers, inspectors, and technicians, ensuring adherence to defined SOPs and training requirementsCoordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Interface with external auditors, certification bodies, and defense clients during quality audits and product validationsEnsure proper documentation of inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), calibration records, and test certificatesDrive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, 8D, and other quality methodologiesImplement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance and complianceEnsure calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment (CMM, NDT tools, etc.)Support first article inspection (FAI), product release, and configuration control per aerospace/defense contract requirementsRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering10 to 14 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing industriesIn-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 , NADCAP , ISO 9001 , and defense product specificationsHands-on experience with quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, 8D, SPC, MSA, RCA, CAPA, etc.Familiarity with military/defense documentation protocols (e.g., DDPs, QAPs, ATPs, etc.)Proficiency in using QC instruments such as CMM, profile projectors, hardness testers, NDT tools, and GD&TStrong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication for audit interactions and reportingPreferred CertificationsCertified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)Lean Six Sigma Green/Black BeltNADCAP audit or process experience (e.g., welding, heat treatment, NDT)
