Job title Academic Administrator Contract Full Time Responsible for: Supporting the smooth running of assessments and academic programmes Overall Purpose The Academic Administrator is responsible for supporting the administration and smooth running of school programmes. The post holder will be responsible for working across multiple teams to ensure that the schools’ administrative operations are delivered in a timely fashion to ensure that staff and students have an excellent experience. You will work with several stakeholders within the schools including, a team of academic administrators, Module and Programme Leaders, Heads of Programmes and Deans. Outside of the schools you will work with Faculty Managers, Registry, Academic Success Officers, Quality, Partnership, and Registry teams. Externally, you will work with Registry and partnership representatives at partnership institutions. You will focus on effective delivery of assessment operations within the school and other administrative support required by the school. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Your duties can include, but are not limited to: • Ensuring that the school is fully supported with coordinating and organizing school assessment administrative activities • Ensuring that all assessment links for each module have been created, and assessment briefs have been uploaded by the module leaders • Ensure that where Registry identify that faculty are not completing their marking in a timely fashion, liaising with line managers as necessary for them to investigate and resolve the issue • Ensuring all relevant post assessment materials have been uploaded to the relevant partner site • Attending relevant exam boards and meetings as required by the Head of Programmes, providing minutes and action points as appropriate • Support with the administration and organisation of academic misconduct matters, maintain records and liaise with appropriate interested parties. • Support the organisation and student attendance at SSLC meetings, attend meetings and take minutes. • Participate in meetings with Academic, Registry and Student Services staff members to discuss submission and marking issues. • to undertake any other duties (within the level of the post), which may reasonably be required and requested by line manager.
