Job Description

The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cafeteria Operations Head to lead our cafeteria operations. This role encompasses vendor management, quality assurance, cost control, employee satisfaction, operational efficiency, and innovation. This position will also coordinate various aspects of food service and cafe design. Essential Job Elements: Vendor Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with food vendors. - Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor compliance with company policies and standards. - Coordinate with the food committee to evaluate vendor performance. Quality Control: - Monitor food quality and vendor service standards. - Conduct routine food quality checks and audits. - Implement feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement. Cost Management: - Manage cafe operations costs and optimize vendor pricing. - Analyse spending patterns and seek cost-reduction opportunities. Employee Satisfaction: - Conduct satisfaction surveys and implement programs to enhance the dining experience. - Address and resolve issues or complaints promptly. Operational Efficiency: - Develop efficient processes for kitchen and dishwashing operations. - Ensure seamless coordination with facility management. Innovation and Improvement: - Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance cafe services. - Stay updated with market trends and incorporate relevant changes. Menu Planning and Nutrition: - Collaborate on menu planning, considering nutrition needs and preferences. - Ensure menu diversity and high nutritional value. Cafe Designing: - Contribute to the design and layout of the café to enhance customer experience Day-to-Day Cafe Operations: - Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Organizing Food Fests: - Plan and execute food festivals and special events to engage employees and promote diverse culinary experiences. Profile & Experience Graduate with a degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. 15+ Years of experience in handling cafeteria operations for large organizations or Hotels or Food Courts Proven experience in food service management or a similar role. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and financial management skills. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards, nutrition, and regulations. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
