Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedDy. Manager/ Manager – Electrical Maintenanceto lead the electrical maintenance and automation functions in a steel recycling facility equipped with shredders, balers, and associated heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise inVFDs, PLCs, HT motors, power systems , andenergy optimization , with a strong focus ontroubleshooting, commissioning, and reliability improvement . Key Responsibilities : Electrical System Management: Lead installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical panels and systems. Troubleshoot and maintainVFDs, SMPS, ACs, UPS systems , andHT motors . PerformPLC programming , logic modifications, and circuit analysis. Conducttransformer and CTR health diagnosticsand ensure optimal performance. Automation & Control: Analyse and troubleshootposition sensors, pumps, valves , andcontrol circuits . Ensure smooth operation ofde-dusting ID fansand associated motors. Performhardware and software diagnosticson automation systems. Energy & Cost Optimization: Conductpower consumption analysisand implementenergy-efficient solutions . Analyse and optimizecapacitor banksfor power factor correction. Drive initiatives forcost reductionandenergy savings . Reliability & Performance Monitoring: Monitor and improve KPIs such asMTTR, MTBF , and performRCFA . Prepare and presentMIS reportsfor electrical performance and downtime analysis. Team Leadership & Compliance: Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians. Ensure compliance withsafety standards ,electrical codes , andaudit requirements . Spares Planning & Procurement: Develop and maintain astrategic spares inventoryfor critical electrical components. Coordinate with vendors fortimely procurementof quality spares and consumables. Optimizestock levelsto balance availability and cost-efficiency. Implement systems fortracking usage, warranty, and lifecycleof electrical spares. Qualifications & Experience : Education:B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Diploma holders with extensive experience may also be considered). Experience:Minimum 10–15 years in heavy industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in metals industry, steel recycling, or similar industries. Technical Skills: Proficient inVFDs (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.) ,PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) . Strong knowledge ofHT/LT systems ,relay logic , andpower distribution . Hands-on experience withenergy audits ,panel design , andelectrical safety . Preferred Attributes : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and documentation skills.
