Job Overview: The Pod Lead – GIS Content Moderation is responsible for leading and managing a specific "pod" or team of GIS Content Moderation Associates. This role ensures the timely and quality delivery of content moderation tasks within the pod, while also fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. The Pod Lead acts as a point of escalation, provides guidance, and monitors performance to achieve project goals and SLAs. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management: Lead and supervise a team of GIS Content Moderation Associates within the assigned pod. Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and ensure workloads are balanced. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and share updates. Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to team members. Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and adherence to schedules. Content Moderation Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate completion of GIS content moderation tasks within the pod. Monitor the quality of moderated content and provide feedback to team members. Act as a point of escalation for complex or challenging moderation cases. Ensure compliance with project guidelines, policies, and procedures. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track individual and team performance against established KPIs and SLAs. Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Assistant Manager or Project Lead. Identify performance trends and implement corrective actions when necessary. Provide feedback on team performance and contribute to performance reviews. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the pod. Suggest and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Document best practices and share knowledge with the team. Participate in process improvement initiatives led by the management team. Communication and Collaboration: Maintain clear and effective communication within the pod and with other teams. Collaborate with other Pod Leads and support teams to ensure smooth workflow. Communicate project updates, changes, and requirements to the team. Address team members' concerns and provide timely responses. Training and Development: Provide initial and ongoing training to team members on content moderation tools and processes. Identify training needs and recommend development opportunities for team members. Ensure team members are up to date with project guidelines and changes. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in any field. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in content moderation or a related field. Proven experience in leading or supervising a team. Strong understanding of GIS data and content moderation processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in using content moderation tools and software. Familiarity with performance metrics and reporting. Preferred Skills: Experience with geospatial data collection or mapping technologies. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
