Role Overview: UIX Designer - Lead is responsible for core design of the user experience, ensuring that both the visual and functional aspects align with the company's goals, user needs, and product requirements. The role involves collaborating with the design manager, cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, to create intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experiences. Key Responsbilities: As a full-stack UX designer you will lead the design initiative for the customer's educational product, ensuring the successful execution of UX design projects. • Collaborating directly with client product owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to align UX strategies with organizational objectives. • Spearheading application modernization initiatives, design management, and enhancing legacy systems with modern and intuitive user interfaces. • Conducting comprehensive UX reviews and research to drive design decisions and optimize user experiences. • Developing and maintaining design systems to ensure consistent and efficient design across the entire product portfolio. • Successfully managing and executing rebranding efforts for clients, aligning design with updated brand guidelines. Must Have Skills/Competencies: Building high impact UI & UX Design experiences. • Wireframing and interactive prototypes. • Product discovery and design workshop. • Building and managing design systems. • Ability to design with Figma using Variables, Tokens, Modes and Dev-mode. • stakeholder interviews & collaboration. • Conducting and participating in user research. • Applying design thinking as part of problem-solving and solution building. • Ability to design for data visualization. • Ability to design UI for responsiveness, micro-interactions, accessibility & themes. • Conducting quality audits for design compliance and governance. Must-Have Soft-Skills: • Good interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to communicate and articulate ideas, solutions, and discussions. • Ability to present design with the larger team which includes client stakeholders. • Good UX writing skills for clear communication with stakeholders. • Flexibility and ability to collaborate with onsite and offshore teams across geographies and time zones. Nice to Have Skills/Competencies: • Minimum 8 years of experience with at least 5-6 years in a product design role and experience in customer-facing responsibilities. • Experience in edTech projects is an added advantage. • Worked on product design, design management (design system), and have case studies & design artboards to showcase • Proven experience in independently leading UX design projects, with a focus on application modernization, product design, and design system development. • Strong expertise in at least one or more aspects of UX research • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma. • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. • Strong portfolio showcasing UI design projects and problem-solving abilities. • You should be very comfortable conversing in International English • A relevant degree or certification is an added advantage but can be supplemented with relevant experience as well.
