Job Title: Design Engineer – PHE DESIGN ENGINEER Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Experience: 8–10 years Industry: Civil Engineering | Construction | Environmental Services Job Function: Engineering | Project Management | Design About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer specializing in Plumbing / Public Health Engineering (PHE) for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will lead and manage all aspects of plumbing system design while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with the Project Manager and Technical Manager on all design matters Lead plumbing/PHE design efforts for major building projects Supervise and guide junior engineers and technicians Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and internal processes Conduct and participate in design reviews Maintain accurate and complete project documentation Technical Responsibilities Water demand calculation Design of hot & cold water systems including circulation, pumps, valves, and pipe sizing Drainage system design (gravity and pumped solutions) Hot water system design: pipe sizing, flow/pressure calculations, heat exchangers, mixing loops, material selection Cold water system design: distribution layout, pump selection, insulation, control valves Solar water heating system design Fire protection system design: sprinklers, fire hose reels, wet & dry risers Water purification systems: filtration, softening, chlorination Grey/black water recycling systems Borewell/borehole water system design Qualifications & Skills B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering 8–10 years of experience in building services design, specifically plumbing and PHE Strong knowledge of Indian and international standards (e.g., NBC, IS, IPC, NFPA) Experience in Fire Protection and Detection System design Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills Why Join Us?
