From collaborating with customers to leading cutting-edge technical initiatives, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of predictive analytics and contributing Mechademy’s continued success.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze live customer plant data to identify equipment issues and determine root causes of alerts.Troubleshoot complex rotating equipment problems in collaboration with subject matter experts, providing actionable solutions.Support the development and validation of physics-based assets on Mechademy’s Turbomechanica platform alongside domain experts.Partner with the engineering team to enhance and implement diagnostic capabilities on the platform.Apply data-driven methods to improve the reliability and availability of critical machinery.Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, delivering expert guidance on equipment diagnostics and problem resolution.Represent Mechademy’s technical leadership in customer engagements, highlighting the platform’s capabilities and innovations.Work closely with software, data science, and remote monitoring teams to refine features and boost diagnostic accuracy using real-world feedback.Lead efforts to streamline and standardize diagnostic processes and reporting practices.Contribute flexibly across various initiatives, embracing the fast-paced and evolving environment of a startup.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline4-5 years of industrial experience with significant hands-on exposure to rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, gas turbines, and steam turbinesStrong expertise in root cause analysis, fault detection, and troubleshooting of rotating equipmentAbility to review and understand P&IDs, PFEs, PFDs, and HMBDs.Solid understanding of core engineering principles, particularly in thermodynamics and fluid mechanicsWorking knowledge of vibration analysis and rotor dynamicsFamiliarity with physics-based performance models and their integration with AI or data-driven modelsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindsetProficiency in Python programming language is a strong plusProficient in applying machine learning algorithms and data analytics to assess and enhance equipment performance is a plusExperience with IoT platforms and real-time monitoring tools such as System 1, SCADA, DCS, or OSIsoft PI - is a strong advantage
