Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Sales Project Management Officer for one of our clients based in the United States. The Sales Project Management Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales-related projects, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless execution, and developing, tracking, and managing project plans, budgets, and timelines. Daily tasks include project planning, monitoring progress, addressing issues promptly, and reporting project status to stakeholders. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with organizational goals and deadlines, as well as to identify and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Developing and managing sales project plans, including defining objectives, scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Sales Strategy Implementation: Assisting in the development and implementation of sales strategies and campaigns, often involving market analysis and customer relationship management. Resource Management: Ensuring optimal allocation of resources (personnel, budget, etc.) across various sales projects. Communication and Reporting: Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, and preparing reports for management. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks associated with sales projects and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Sales Process Optimization: Analyzing existing sales processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, operations) to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales initiatives. Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales projects, analyzing performance data, and providing insights for improvement. Training and Support: Providing training and support to sales teams on new processes, tools, or technologies implemented as part of sales projects. Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of project plans, progress, and outcomes for future reference and learning. Skills Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis skills Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales processes, strategies, and best practices. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the course of a sales project. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and collaborate with other departments. Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate sales teams to achieve project goals. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and adjust project plans accordingly. Qualifications and experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred). 10+ years of proven experience in sales leadership, with at least 7 years in PMO In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, market analysis, and customer relationship management. Experience working with CRM systems. 2+ years of experience in consultative selling of services and solutions to large enterprise accounts (preferred).
