Position Overview: As a Solution Engineer specializing in pre-sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales efforts by leveraging your deep technical expertise and understanding of Salesforce solutions combined with the full stack knowledge of Marketing Cloud, MuleSoft, Boomi & Heroku. You will collaborate closely with our sales teams, prospects, and clients to understand their business challenges and objectives, and then propose innovative Salesforce-based solutions across the stack that address their needs. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, business aptitude, and strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Development: Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into detailed Salesforce-based solutions. Design, prototype, and present tailored Salesforce demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs) that showcase the value and capabilities of Salesforce products. Technical Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, providing expert guidance on Salesforce solutions, integrations, and best practices. Conduct technical workshops and discovery sessions (if required, in the pre-sales stage) to uncover customer pain points and map out solution designs. Sales Support and Collaboration: Partner with sales executives throughout the sales cycle to understand customer goals and technical challenges. Create compelling technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and solution documentation, and estimations to support sales presentations and proposals. Participate in RFP/RFI responses, proposal development, technical discussions, and negotiations with prospects. Conduct discovery sessions with clients to gather requirements and pain points. Work closely with Salesforce implementation teams to ensure alignment between sales and delivery. Collaborate with the delivery technical teams as and when required to support the solutioning and estimations. Effectively communicate and articulate the business benefits of your proposed solution to customers Industry & Product Expertise: Stay updated on Salesforce products, platform updates, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Obtain and maintain Salesforce certifications relevant to your role and responsibilities. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide thought leadership by contributing to whitepapers, webinars, and customer workshops. Offer insights on industry-specific use cases and best practices. Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding. Engage with partners and system integrators to build joint go-to-market strategies. Train internal teams on Salesforce capabilities and industry solutions. Key member of the Architecture Review Board to review solutions across pre-sales and delivery Required Qualifications : Experience : 8+ years Salesforce experience and 3+ years experience in a comparable pre-sales position, facilitating the sales process for CRM or other significant business solutions. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, analytics and integration capabilities. Hands-on experience with Salesforce configurations (flows, automation, reports, dashboards). Experience in Design and implement integrations patterns with third party platforms or products using web services and AppExchange apps Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles and practices Knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving and customer engagement skills Certifications (Preferred): Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Application Architect Nice to Have: Experience with Agentforce, CPQ, MuleSoft, Tableau, or Marketing Cloud.
