Roles and Responsibilities Role: - Multi Body Dynamics based vehicle CAE evaluation. Expectations: - Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical Engg./Automotive Engg. with good academic records. - 4 to 10 Years of relevant work experience. - Good Knowledge in Vehicle Dynamics domain. Two wheelers, three wheelers preferred. -Highly skilled in building models for sub-systems and full vehicle from scratch. - Able to generate Modal Neutral Files (MNF), Rigid body properties (Mass, MOI, CG), assign Suspension properties (like Spring, Damper, Bump stopper & Bush), output request (Forces, Accelerations) in Multi Body dynamic Sub-systems. -Generate loads from Virtual Dynamics Model for Durability and NVH purpose e.g. Transient - Simulations of Drive trains/Transmissions in Multi body solvers using Flexible and Rigid bodies. -Utilize Dynamics knowledge to support in Durability & Vibration CAE & Validation -Work on Tire Modelling and Virtual Proving Grounds in simulation models -Ability to prepare the CAE model in Hypermesh software, prepare input deck and perform analysis in ALTAIR Suite & ADAMS, perform post-processing. -Enough hands-on experience in Altair Hypermesh, Hypergraph etc. to support Dynamics related work -Able to learn and use nCode Design Life, ANSA, MetaPost, OptiStruct and Altair products -Working exposure in UG-NX, MSC ADAMS, NCode, MATLAB SIMULINK will be an added advantage. -- Knowledge in developing different mathematical models for vehicle dynamics - Good knowledge in static analytical calculations and engineering fundamentals - Understand physics and build simulation models for MBD simulations -Experience with Optimisation & DOE toolsets such as Optistruct, Tosca, Isight & Hyperstudy preferable. -Experience with Fatigue tools such as NCode Design Life and FEMFAT preferable. -Strong understanding and experience on Multibody tools and solvers like Motion View, Motion Solve, Adams -Strong understanding of use of Flexible bodies in Multibody simulations -Knowledge and Experience in Tire modelling and software like Cosin F- Tire/CD Tire/MF Tire -Working with both metallic and composite structures. -Exposure to physical testing and ability to understand test conditions and its representation in CAE. -Ability to suggest countermeasures for performance improvement. - Strong fundamentals in Mechanical engineering and programming -Ability to automate simulation activities/processes using python -Ability to make Mechanical system models, interpret results from simulations and validate with Test results -Ability to quickly grasp, adapt and work with agility and flexibility - Good knowledge in different ISO standards with respect to ride and handling behaviour - Good communication skills and interpersonal skills Responsibilities: - CAE Modelling - Mesh discretization, Assembly, Constraint & Load setting - for automotive vehicle level and sub-systems, primarily components related to Body & Chassis Structure & Closures. Setting-up Front/Rear Suspension Assembly/Full Vehicle Assembly. Calibrate model by establishing optimized suspension, kinematic and compliance properties. Interpretation of results, comprehending failure modes and providing directions for countermeasures for meeting performance criteria. Documentation of results and communication with stakeholders - design, testing - for implementation of failure countermeasures. Interact with Testing teams for analysing failures, correlation of CAE results with physical testing results and making improvements in CAE model. Support in generation and evaluation of Value Enhancement proposals. Tool Knowledge/Expertise :- - ALTAIR SUITE of Software tools. -Adams/View, Adams/Flex, Adams/Vibration, Insight and Adams/Chassis - Motion View, Hypergraph, MATLAB, Simulink, Adams Command Language & Python Behavioural skills: - Excellent interpersonal skills, Communication & presentation skills, Achievement orientation, Team player, Networking skills
