Job Description

As the Associate Director -Business Analytics at Zepto, you will be a strategic leader driving data-backed decision-making across the organization. You will lead and scale the business analytics function, work closely with senior leadership to influence long-term strategy, and build a high performing analytics team. This role requires deep analytical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong understanding of business levers in a fast-paced environment. ##Key Responsibilities: • Lead the end-to-end analytics charter across multiple business units such as Product, Growth, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations. • Partner with CXOs and senior leaders to identify business opportunities and guide data- informed strategic decisions. • Own and institutionalize key company-wide metrics, reporting frameworks, and data processes. • Drive large-scale analytical initiatives including customer segmentation, churn modeling, demand forecasting, and pricing analysis. • Mentor and manage a team of senior business analysts and analytics managers to deliver high-quality insights and drive operational efficiency. • Build scalable das hboards and automation pipelines to democratize data across teams. • Champion a culture of experimentation, A/B testing, and rigorous performance analysis. • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Product teams to ensure clean, accessible, and reliable data infrastructure. ##Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. • 8–12 years of experience in business analytics, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role. • Prior experience in a high-growth startup, e-commerce, or consumer tech environment is highly preferred. ##Required Skills: • Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI). • Hands-on knowledge of Python, R, or similar tools for statistical modeling and automation. • Expertise in analytical techniques including forecasting, cohort analysis, LTV modeling, and funnel optimization. • Deep understanding of business KPIs, especially in consumer internet or operational analytics contexts. • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence non-technical teams and C-level executives. • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate complex data into business actions.
