Job Title: Senior Executive – IT Infrastructure Department: IT Division: CFS (Container Freight Station) Location: ATL Kolkata Reports To: IT Manager Job Purpose: The Senior Executive – IT Infrastructure will be responsible for managing and maintaining IT infrastructure at the CFS division to ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems, networks, and end-user services. The role is critical in supporting uninterrupted CFS operations and aligning IT support with business needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Infrastructure Management: Sound knowledge of LAN infrastructure management and basic understanding of WAN technologies. Effective coordination with the Central Network team to resolve LAN/WAN issues promptly. Assist Central IT with routine preventive maintenance and hardware/software upgrades. 2. User Support & Operations: Provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, and IT peripherals. Perform software installations, troubleshooting, and configuration tasks. Manage user credentials, email setup, and system access as per company policies. 3. Asset Management: Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets at the CFS location. Track allocation, movement, and recovery of hardware and licensed software. 4. Security & Compliance: Monitor endpoint security and antivirus software in coordination with the InfoSec and Central IT teams. Support IT audits and ensure compliance with organizational standards and guidelines. 5. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with OEMs, ISPs, and AMC vendors for technical support and service calls. Raise and follow up on support tickets and escalations until resolution. 6. Business Understanding – CFS Operations: Possess practical knowledge of CFS (Container Freight Station) operations, including import/export workflows, EDI processes, cargo handling, and cross functional stakeholder coordination (customs, Finance, Operations and etc). Align IT services with the functional needs of the CFS to ensure smooth operational continuity. Key Skills & Competencies: Proficient in Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration. Hands-on experience with networking hardware and troubleshooting. Familiarity with EDI systems and warehouse management software (WMS) is an advantage. Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills. Analytical thinking with the ability to resolve issues independently under time pressure. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information technology, or a related field. 5–7 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in logistics, CFS, or warehouse environments.
