Role Overview We are looking for a passionate and driven Backend Developer to join our fast-paced team in Bangalore. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be working on building and scaling the core products of Pepsales. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing startup, where your work will have a direct impact on product development, customer outcomes, and business success. You’ll work closely with the founding team and leadership, and collaborate across functions to bring innovative ideas to life. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend systems and microservices • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python • Design and implement RESTful APIs and WebSocket services • Work with MongoDB for database management and optimization • Build and manage containerized services using Docker • Deploy and manage services on AWS infrastructure (EC2, ALB, S3, Route 53, etc.) • Ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and manage microservice deployments • Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and leadership teams • Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and architecture reviews • Embrace uncertainty and bring a self-starter, problem-solving attitude to work Required Skills & Qualifications • 3–5 years of backend development experience • Strong proficiency in Python and its core concepts • Solid understanding of MongoDB, Docker, and Microservice Architecture • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ALB, S3, Route 53) • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices • Strong knowledge of REST APIs and WebSocket communication • Excellent grasp of Data Structures and problem-solving techniques • Good communication skills and a strong team player mindset Why Join Pepsales? • Direct access to founders and high-impact decision-making • Opportunity to shape the future of a growing AI SaaS product • Work on cutting-edge tech that’s transforming sales across the globe • Fast-paced, ownership-driven culture • Growth opportunities and continuous learning
