Job Description

We are seeking the perfect candidate for our rapidly growing client in Pharma/Chemical EPC Projects Services. Designation: Manager (Instrumentation and Automation Department) Location: Pune Educational Qualification: ∙ Bachelor’s Degree in Controls/Instrumentation Engineering from reputed institutions with 8–15 years of experience in process automation of Pharma, Biotech, Chemicals, API, Specialty Chemicals, Distillery, Food & Beverage, Power, etc. Professional Skills / Knowledge Required: ∙ Ability to work on multiple product platforms and do multitasking ∙ Leading a team of Electrical, Instrumentation & Software Engineers working on multiple projects ∙ Good communication, interpersonal skills & managerial skills ∙ Exceptional team player, good communicator within a technical team environment ∙ Must be able to handle multiple projects ∙ Good knowledge of various DCS & PLC systems ∙ Good knowledge of various instruments, selection of instruments as per process requirements ∙ Good knowledge of Electrical panels and Electrical Engineering ∙ Knowledge of project execution cycle ∙ Ability to relate with different groups of people in various levels of the organization ∙ Ability to recognize and respond to dynamic demands ∙ Providing design engineering, costing, technical support to Proposal & Marketing team ∙ Pragmatic approach to work and work environments Tooling Requirements: ∙ Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) ∙ Proven skills in use of project tools (such as MS Project) & techniques Tasks / Areas of Responsibility: ∙ Review client specification, identify special requirements over standard requirements for engineering of Instrumentation/Control systems ∙ Review of PLC hardware & software quotations ∙ Define design requirement in accordance with contract specification & desired performance ∙ Responsible for basic control system & field instrument design engineering: Instrument Index sheet, IO assignment, function diagram, heat & load calculations, instrument datasheets, instrument hookup, cable tray layout, cable schedule, PLC/DCS system architecture ∙ Work with assembly personnel to optimize design for manufacturing ∙ Ensure quality & specs compliance of deliverables for projects ∙ Conduct or participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning of control systems & field instruments ∙ Knowledge of selection for field instruments as per process data such as pressure, level, flow transmitters ∙ Identify possible improvement opportunities in processes & standards ∙ Ensure end-to-end project closeout (commissioning support either physically on-site or over the phone) ∙ Resolve customer issues & support through installation & commissioning ∙ Perfect knowledge for selection of instruments as per process data & P&ID, i.e., control valves, actuated valves, DP flow & level transmitters, temperature transmitters, all types of flow transmitters
