Job Title: Civil Engineer (Interior Design) Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Industry: Furniture Manufacturing Timing: 10:00 AM to 08:00 PM Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Civil Engineer responsible for preparing accurate layouts, taking site measurements, and coordinating directly with clients. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of space planning, basic civil/architectural knowledge, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibility: Assist in preparing preliminary designs, layout plans, and basic structural drawings for modular furniture projects. Work with the design team to generate GA drawings and assist in connection detailing. Ensure drawings and designs are in compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Support the sales and estimation team with technical documentation during client inquiries. Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and basic cost estimates. Assist in creating proposal documents, design presentations, and project concept notes. Communicate with clients and consultants to understand project briefs and site conditions. Participate in client meetings and provide design-related inputs under the guidance of senior engineers or sales heads. Address initial technical queries from customers and route complex queries to senior team members. Coordinate with the engineering, estimation, and procurement teams to gather inputs for proposals. Ensure timely submission of designs and proposals for ongoing enquiries. Key Skills & Competencies: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup are preferred. Good understanding of steel structures and furniture concepts. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Team player with attention to detail. Qualifications: B.E. / Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering. 1–3 years of experience in a design or technical support role, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
