Job Title: Senior English Teacher Location: Saraswati Vidya Academy, Lonavala Employment Type: Full-time, Residential Reports To: Principal. Job Summary: Students join Saraswati Vidya Academy in Grade 6. Their education upto Grade 5 has normally taken place in a Government School in rural Maharashtra. Their skills in the English language is low and they need extensive support & training to build their language skills that meets the requirements of the CBSE curriculum. We are looking for experienced and passionate English Language Educators to build a strong English Lab at Saraswati Vidya Academy that will meet the needs of the students. Key Responsibilities: Design, plan and prepare engaging English language and programs to build strong language skills for non-native English Students. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Design an English oriented environment throughout the campus. Conduct various language enriching activities designed to help students at various levels of proficiency Organize and oversee extracurricular activities such as literary clubs, debates, and writing workshops. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation. Collaborate with other faculty members and school administration to enhance the academic curriculum. Participate in school events, community outreach programs, and other initiatives in alignment with the school’s mission. Adhere to school policies and maintain professional ethics in all interactions. Qualifications & Experience: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in English and Education. 5 and above years of teaching experience, preferably in a residential school. Experience across boards. Strong knowledge of English language pedagogy, literature, and assessment methodologies. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for teaching and working with students from underprivileged backgrounds. Experience in mentoring and training junior faculty members is a plus.
