We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer for our laser cutting division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting customer ideas and requirements into precise laser-cut designs, preparing job costings, and coordinating with the production team to ensure accurate and efficient execution. Key Responsibilities: Customer Design Development: Create custom design files (2D) as per customer requirements using relevant design software (e.g., CorelDRAW, AutoCAD). Cost Estimation: Evaluate material usage, machine time, and complexity to provide accurate job costing and quotations to the sales or customer service team. Production Coordination: Generate and forward complete job files along with production guidelines (material specs, design files, special instructions) to the production team. Design Optimization: Optimize designs for minimal wastage and maximum efficiency for laser cutting processes. Quality Assurance: Ensure all design files meet the technical parameters of the laser cutting machine and maintain quality standards. Client Communication: Discuss and finalize designs with clients, and revise drafts based on feedback when required. Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Proficiency in design software like CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, or similar. Basic knowledge of laser cutting machine parameters, materials (MS, SS, Aluminum, etc.). Strong attention to detail and creativity. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred: Experience in the CNC laser cutting industry. Familiarity with costing techniques in job work industries.
