Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our small, dynamic team and support our growing research agenda. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent analytical skills, solid organisational ability and a passion for contributing to impactful research that informs policy and decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings on economic and policy-related topics Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software (e.g. Stata, R, Python) Assist in drafting research papers, policy briefs, blog articles, book chapters, study materials and reports for publication Monitor and analyze current economic trends, government policies, and global developments on relevant issues Coordinate with partner organizations, including government agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions, for research collaborations Prepare presentations, charts, and infographics to effectively communicate research findings Create engaging digital content to promote the centre’s work and research Support in planning and organising centre programs and events e.g. lectures, panel discussions and conferences Required qualifications and skills A Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics or a related field Some experience in using STATA, R, Python or other statistical software for data analysis and visualisation Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
