Job Description

Position Title: Statutory (Audit, Taxation) & Compliance – Fibers Finance Location : Kolkata, India (with EMEA Timezone 11 AM–8 PM or 12 PM–9 PM IST) Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, taxation , and compliance Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) Budget: Upto 17 LPA About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Statutory and Compliance Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in statutory audit, taxation (including VAT and transfer pricing), and financial compliance within an ERP-driven environment. This role demands close coordination with internal and statutory auditors, managing end-to-end compliance processes under local and international GAAP , and ensuring timely filings and risk controls. Prior experience in an audit firm is essential. Key Responsibilities: Audit and Financial Reporting:  Coordinate and liaise with internal and statutory auditors, providing required documentation and support for a smooth audit process.  Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation.  Prepare and finalize statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP.  Support audit readiness and documentation under Ind AS/IFRS/local standards. Taxation and Statutory Compliance:  Ensure timely submission of VAT and other statutory filings including statistical returns.  Handle tax returns, tax audits, and maintain adherence to relevant tax laws.  Manage DTA/DTL calculations and ensure proper accounting treatment.  Prepare and finalize documentation for transfer pricing compliance.  Coordinate data compilation and analysis for tax auditors and government authorities.  Handle antidumping investigations and prepare detailed responses.  Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws and regulatory frameworks. Corporate Compliance and Legal Affairs:  Ensure timely regularization and documentation of board and shareholder meetings in accordance with legal requirements.  Maintain and summarize all ongoing litigation and compliance matters.  Support risk evaluation processes, including ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) reporting. Insurance and Risk Management:  Monitor and manage customer credit insurance policies to mitigate financial exposure.  Oversee and ensure adequate property insurance coverage for safeguarding company assets. Required Skills and Qualifications:  Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5–7 years of experience in statutory audit, taxation, and compliance  Prior experience in an audit firm (mandatory)  Strong understanding of local GAAP, transfer pricing, and statutory reporting  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced accounting tools  Experience working on ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)  Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills  Proven ability to handle multiple audits, statutory filings , and tax processes Language Requirements:  Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential  Knowledge of any EU language (French, German, Italian, Czech, Danish, etc.) is a strong advantage due to cross-border collaboration and local statutory requirements Work Timing:  Candidate must be available to work EMEA hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST If you are interested, kindly share your CV at or @9230998560
