All about scale, speed, and global impact — and we’re bringing on trailblazers to drive that vision.Work Location: MumbaiYour Mission As Manager – US Accounts & Taxation, you’ll take ownership of US accounting, tax filings, and compliance. You will work closely with stakeholders and ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with IRS guidelines. This role requires high ownership and hands-on execution.What You’ll Do :1. Taxation & Compliance (Federal, State, International) Lead the preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065) with accuracy and timeliness.Ensure consolidated tax compliance for all jurisdictions, including business and franchise taxes.Manage and facilitate IRS and state income tax audits—prepare responses, schedules, and supporting documentation.Stay updated on U.S. and international tax laws, assess impact, and advise management on strategic compliance measures.Handle tax compliance and reporting for other geographies as required (e.g., VAT, GST, or country-specific regulations).Review quarterly and annual tax projections, and manage estimated tax filings.Monitor tax law changes and proactively adapt internal processes and filing strategies.Implement effective controls for timely and error-free filing of all business-related taxes.2. Accounting & Financial Reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Manage statutory forms and financial data collection from clients and vendors.Maintain clean books through QuickBooks or Xero; ensure adherence to closing schedules and reconciliation procedures.Collaborate with auditors by providing required financial data and supporting audit requests.3. Strategic Tax Planning & Analysis Develop and implement strategic tax planning across federal, state, and international jurisdictions.Identify opportunities to optimize the tax position through legal structuring and benefit claims (e.g., R&D credits, foreign tax credits).Plan, manage, and communicate the tax return calendar, aligning with all internal teams and stakeholders.Evaluate the tax impact of corporate decisions, expansion strategies, and global entity structuring.4. Process Improvement & Internal Controls Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline tax and accounting workflows.Design and enforce internal control procedures governing tax calculations, payments, and documentation.Introduce automation and best practices to reduce manual intervention and increase accuracy.Maintain documented SOPs for tax compliance, accounting procedures, and audit readiness.5. Stakeholder Engagement & Team Coordination Act as a key liaison for US clients, vendors, tax advisors, and government authorities.Respond to tax-related queries from internal and external stakeholders with clarity and precision.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, operations) to ensure unified compliance and reporting.Mentor junior team members and guide them on U.S. and international accounting/taxation best practices.✅ You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent US tax credential preferred.6–10 years of US-focused accounting and tax experience, ideally including US entity lifecycle and compliance.Proficient in QuickBooks or Xero; experienced with Drake Tax, ONESOURCE, or similar tax software.In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 740, and Federal/State tax laws.Strong Excel skills; exposure to ERPs (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) is a plus.Excellent English communication skills—email, reports, presentations, and client calls.Highly organized, process-oriented, independent worker with keen attention to detail and deadlines.Why Flipspaces?
