Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Business Development Manager to drive our growth. In this strategic role, you will be the crucial link between our technical capabilities and our clients' visions. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep knowledge of cosmetic science and the beauty market to build lasting partnerships, drive sales, and architect custom manufacturing solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities New Business Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and onboard new cosmetic brands, private labels, and personal care companies, converting leads into long-term partners. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and deepen relationships with our existing client base, ensuring high satisfaction, repeat business, and strategic growth. Technical Consultation: Serve as the primary technical advisor during client engagements, providing expert insights on product formulations, ingredient efficacy, innovative packaging solutions, and manufacturing processes. Strategic Costing & Quoting: Develop accurate and competitive product costings and quotations, balancing client value with profitability targets. R&D Collaboration: Act as the voice of the client internally, liaising closely with the R&D team to ensure product development aligns with client specifications and technical feasibility. Market Strategy & Execution: Design and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Industry Representation: Represent the company with professionalism and expertise at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and high-level client meetings. Proposal & Presentation: Create compelling technical proposals, detailed cost sheets, and persuasive presentations that showcase our value proposition. Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging consumer needs to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. The Ideal Candidate Possesses a minimum of 5 years of integrated experience across sales, business development, and/or R&D within the cosmetics industry. Demonstrates strong technical mastery of cosmetic formulations, raw materials, and GMP manufacturing processes. Has a proven track record of developing detailed product costings from the ground up. Brings an established network and a strong reputation within the cosmetics and personal care industry. Is an outstanding communicator, negotiator, and presenter, able to articulate complex technical concepts with clarity and confidence. Is a self-motivated, target-driven professional with excellent project management skills. Is based in Mumbai and willing to travel to meet business needs. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field is required. An MBA in Marketing is advantageous but not mandatory.
