Job Title

Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee the system integration activities across all AMI components, including smart meters, HES, MDAS, MDMS, and utility backend systems.Coordinate with OEMs, Discom IT teams, and software vendors to ensure smooth data flow and interoperability.Review and validate system architecture, data models, API interfaces, and integration specifications.Supervise end-to-end testing (Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing).Monitor the implementation of communication technologies (RF, PLC, Cellular, IoT) and their compatibility with the AMI system.Ensure compliance with technical standards, cybersecurity protocols, and data privacy requirements.Troubleshoot integration and communication issues, and support resolution with vendors and field teams.Contribute to risk analysis, system resilience planning, and performance optimization.Provide technical documentation, interface specifications, and user manuals.Support training and knowledge transfer to utility IT and operations teams.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT.7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in AMI/smart meter/utility system integration.Strong understanding of smart meter communication protocols (DLMS/COSEM), networking (IPv6, GPRS, RF Mesh), and system architecture.Hands-on experience in integrating MDMS, HES, and SCADA/utility IT platforms.Experience with APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), middleware, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).Familiarity with data security standards (e.g., ISO 27001), and compliance requirements for energy utilities.Skills & Competencies:Excellent understanding of AMI architecture and data flow.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Proficient in system integration tools, testing frameworks, and scripting.Good documentation and communication skills.Project coordination experience with cross-functional technical teams.Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC, IS, IEEE, DLMS) and regulatory guidelines.
