The ideal candidate will help design and build mobile-friendly widgets, integrate tools like DocuSign and OpenAI, and support conversational workflows within ServiceNow.Technical Key Responsibilities1. Custom Widget Development (Employee Center)Design and build custom widgets within the Employee Center (not classic Service Portal)Write clean, efficient JavaScript, HTML, and CSS using the ServiceNow Widget FrameworkDebug widget logic, fix rendering issues, and implement GlideAjax or server-side calls as needed2. API Integration – DocuSignConnect ServiceNow to the DocuSign developer sandbox using API key or OAuthBuild logic to authenticate, call APIs, parse JSON responses, and render envelope data inside widgets3. Responsive UI DesignEnsure widgets are mobile-responsive, functioning correctly across phones and tabletsUse Chrome DevTools or native tools to troubleshoot and validate UI across breakpointsSupport demo preparation with clear examples of mobile behavior4. Chat Widget to Ticket WorkflowConfigure Connect Chat or Virtual Agent in the Employee Center to trigger ticket creationLeverage Record Producers, scripts, or custom buttons to complete workflows5. AI Assistant (MyGPT) IntegrationBuild an inline chat widget to process user inputs and interact with internal AI tools like OpenAI or DeepSeekManage request/response flow, handle token limitations, and ensure intuitive UXIdeal Candidate Profile5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with focus on Employee Center and custom widget scriptingStrong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow’s Widget FrameworkPractical experience integrating REST APIs, especially with tools like DocuSignUnderstanding of responsive design principles and cross-device testingExperience with Virtual Agent Designer, Connect Chat, or chat-based UI flowsBonus: Familiarity with embedding AI chat tools or conversational UI elements in ServiceNow
