Profile: Software packingLocation: BangaloreBudget: 9-16LPAGood Knowledge on IT experience in the Application Packaging technical area.Relevant exp.: 5 to 8 years Technical Tasks / Activities:The supplier’s responsibilities include:· Building new packages for Windows platform in accordance with guidelines including ThinApp, Citrix/WTS, and MSIX.· Refreshing existing packages or applications on Windows platform.· Assisting Client staff in continuously educating application owners about the need and requirements to use standard request system for new package requests.· Assisting in projecting future volume, technology, and changes that could impact Client’s systems and technical architecture.· Submitting package request for Common Off the Shelf (COTS) software according to Client guidelines and procedures.· Perform application packaging, scripting, and automation to ensure smooth deployment and installation.· Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure compatibility.· Test and validate software packages to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended.· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software packaging and deployment.· Maintain documentation for all packaged applications, including installation guides and troubleshooting procedures.· Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in application packaging and deployment.Client will provide:· Software name and version to be packaged· Source files· License keys if required· Any specific Client settings to be taken into considerationPre-requisites:Experience Level: E2, E3E3 Level: Minimum 8 years of IT experience in the Application Packaging technical area.E2 Level: Minimum 5 years of IT experience in the Application Packaging technical area.Required Skills:· Proven experience as a Software Application Packager or similar role.· Strong knowledge of application packaging tools and techniques.· Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, or Batch.· Familiarity with software deployment tools like Intune, SCCM, InstallShield, and Wise Package Studio.· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.· Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.· Knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
