Position: Azure Data Engineer (Offshore - Remote) Experience:5 - 8years Start Date: Need to start within 30 days Engagement Type:Full-TimeAbout the Role: Smartbridge is seeking anAzure Data Engineerto design, develop, and optimize data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have5 to 8 years of experienceworking withAzure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and ETL processes .Responsibilities: Develop and maintainETL pipelinesusingAzure Data Factory (ADF) . Design and implementdata modelsfor efficient storage and retrieval inAzure Synapse Analytics . OptimizeSQL queriesand performance tuning for large datasets. Work withAzure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other cloud data solutions . Implementdata security measures , includingrole-based access control (RBAC) and data masking . Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders tounderstand data requirementsand translate them into technical solutions.Technical Skills Required: Azure Data Factory (ADF)– Building, orchestrating, and monitoring data pipelines. Azure Synapse Analytics– Data modeling, performance optimization. SQL Server & T-SQL– Writing complex queries, stored procedures. ETL & Data Transformation– Experience handling large datasets. Azure Data Lake & Blob Storage– Managing structured and unstructured data. Power BI or other visualization tools(preferred but not mandatory). Python or Spark (Databricks experience is a plus).Additional Requirements: Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field . Microsoft Azure certification(preferred but not mandatory). Experience inOil & Gas, Life Science, or Food & Beverageis a plus. 100% remote role– Must be available for thesecond shiftto overlap with the US team untilNoon CST . 3-month probation periodbefore full-time confirmation. If certification is not already held, it must be completed during probation.Recruitment Process & Technical Testing: Candidates will undergo a45-60 minute TestGorilla assessment , including: Intro Video Section– Candidate introduction & motivation. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills– Scenario-based questions.
