Job Description: ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code Inspector Responsible for conducting inspections of pressure equipment—including boilers, pressure vessels, piping, welding, and associated testing—in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), and applicable jurisdictional requirements. The role ensures full compliance at all stages of fabrication, assembly, and final acceptance. Roles & Responsibilities Performshop and field inspections(internal and external) during critical stages of fabrication and assembly. Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and proof testsas well asnon-destructive examinations (NDE)per code and project requirements. Verify calibration and functionalityof inspection and test equipment before and during use. Maintain a detailedASME Inspector’s Diary , documenting daily inspections, findings, and witnessed events. Ensure the use of validASME BPV Code editions , certified materials (MTRs), propermetallurgical traceability , and comprehensivequality records . Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and design calculationsfor conformance with ASME Code requirements. ConfirmWelding Procedure Specifications (WPS) ,Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) , andwelder/operator qualificationsare up-to-date and compliant. Monitor and documentrepairsto verify they meet ASME Code standards. Identify, document, and reportnon-conformances , ensuringcorrective actionsare implemented, verified, and properly closed. Confirm allASME BPV Code requirementsare satisfied before authorizing theU-stamp , and ensure proper application ofnameplatesandNational Board registration marks . Participate injoint reviewswith Certificate Holders and AI Supervisors as required.
