Head of Department (HOD) – Radiologywith specific emphasis onCardiac CTand comprehensive modality management: Job Title:Head of Department – Radiology Location:Fortis Healthcare, NCR Department:Radiology Reporting To:Medical Director / Hospital Administration Experience:Minimum 10–15 years post-MD/DNB with leadership experience Qualification:MD/DNB in Radiology (DM/Fellowship in Cardiac Imaging preferred) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Radiologist to lead the Radiology Department as HOD. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise inCardiac CTand demonstrate the ability to manage and oversee all imaging modalities including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, Mammography, and Interventional Radiology. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical leadership to the Radiology department and ensure high standards of diagnostic imaging services. Perform and superviseadvanced Cardiac CT imagingand interpretations. Oversee and ensure quality assurance across all imaging modalities:CT, MRI, USG, X-ray, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology , etc. Develop and implement departmental protocols and SOPs to align with best practices and regulatory standards. Collaborate with Cardiologists, Oncologists, Neurologists, and other specialties for integrated patient care. Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, TAT (Turn-Around Time), and patient satisfaction. Mentor and guide a team of radiologists, technicians, and support staff. Lead academic initiatives, CME sessions, and radiology residency programs (if applicable). Maintain compliance with NABH/JCI or other accreditation bodies’ standards. Coordinate with hospital leadership for budgeting, technology upgrades, and strategic planning. Requirements: MD/DNB in Radiology (DM/Fellowship in Cardiac Imaging or advanced certification in Cardiac CT preferred). Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including significant leadership or administrative roles. Proficient in interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies across all modalities. Hands-on expertise inCardiac CTimaging and advanced diagnostic protocols. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams effectively. Preferred Skills: Academic orientation with teaching and training experience. Exposure to digital radiology systems (PACS/RIS/HIS). Experience in quality initiatives and radiology process optimization.
