Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites, implementing custom functionality, and ensuring optimal site performance. You will work closely with our design and development teams to create exceptional digital experiences for our clients.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment & Technical:Develop, and maintain WordPress websites from scratch using known and custom themes and plugins. Implement pixel perfect responsive designs based on Figma designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility Optimise website performance, security, and SEO capabilities Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues Update content as and when required. Implement and maintain proper backup and security measures Build custom functionality using JS eg. creating small web apps to go with websites, etc.Integration & Optimisation:Optimise database performance and implement caching solutions Ensure WordPress core, themes, and plugins are regularly updated Configure and optimise server environments for WordPress Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPressCollaboration:Work closely with designers to implement pixel-perfect, responsive designs Collaborate with the team on technical specifications and system architecture decisions Provide technical guidance and documentation Participate in code reviews and team meetingsQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience: 3 - 5 years of professional front-end development experience 3 - 5 years WordPress front-end development experience Proven track record of building custom WordPress websites Proven ability to proactively identify bugs and in bugfixingTechnical Skills Required:Knowledge of WordPress core, including hooks, actions, and filters Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery/other common libraries Understanding of WordPress security best practices Familiarity with MySQL database management Experience with REST API implementation Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first approaches Experience with Gutenberg & GeneratePress preferred WooCommerce developmentSoft Skills:Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines is a must Strong problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects Self-motivated and able to work independently Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Problem solving skills Solutions focusBonus Points:Experience with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js) Experience with WordPress page builders (Gutenberg & GeneratePress and others) Contributions to WordPress community or open-source projects AI assisted web development to speed up projects PHP programming skills WordPress themes and plugins developmentWork Details:Work Location: Remote Schedule: Flexible Job-Type: Recurring ContractImpact Statement Please refer to the attached impact statement that explains what impact this role is intended to have on the organization and the necessary criteria to succeed in this role.Application Process If you're excited about this opportunity, please email your application to monicasantos@.au.
