In this role, you will be responsible for managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy, updating software entitlements, and optimizing licensing. Key Responsibilities Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal. UseServiceNowto maintain asset records, ensuring all hardware assets are accurately tracked in the CMDB. Conduct regular inventory audits and update CMDB records to maintain data accuracy. Implement and enforce asset management policies and best practices for hardware lifecycle processes. CMDB Data Quality and Governance Maintain data integrity withinServiceNow CMDBby ensuring all asset data is up-to-date, complete, and accurate. Regularly review CMDB records and reconcile any discrepancies in asset data, working closely with IT and finance teams to ensure alignment. Implement data governance standards, ensuring consistent practices are followed for asset tracking and data updates. Software Asset Management (SAM) UseSnow Softwareto manage software entitlements, monitor usage, and ensure compliance with license agreements. Update and maintain software entitlements, ensuring accurate records of licenses and allocations in alignment with organizational requirements. Regularly review and reconcile license usage against entitlements, identifying any compliance gaps or over/under-utilization. Assist in software audits by providing accurate entitlement and usage data from Snow Software, supporting compliance efforts. License Optimization and Cost Control Analyze software usage to identify opportunities for cost optimization, re-harvesting unused licenses, and aligning entitlements with user needs. Track license renewals and assist in planning renewals, ensuring license quantities are aligned with forecasted requirements. Reporting and Data Analysis Generate and maintain asset reports, providing insights into asset utilization, compliance status, and cost-savings opportunities. Use reporting tools (Excel, ServiceNow, Snow Software) to analyze asset data, producing actionable insights for internal stakeholders. Develop regular reports for leadership on software compliance, hardware lifecycle metrics, and asset usage trends. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: 3-4 years of experience in both hardware and software asset management.
