Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Supplier Quality AssuranceBe responsible for assessing quality of supplier processes & implementation (existing and new suppliers). Responsible to address supplier quality issues and resolve through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. Responsible to closely communicate with cross functional teams like R&D , Procurement & manufacturing Department. Work closely with supplier’s and conduct supplier audits (ISO, process, Product, system)Role & Responsibilities: · Evaluate and approve new suppliers through audits and assessment qualification processes. · Responsible for PPAP, PFMEA & PSW review and sign off for mass production run at supplier facility. · Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues using root cause analysis (e.g :8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) · Support incoming inspection and resolve non-conformance issues with suppliers. · Knowledge about industry standards and internal specifications (ISO 9001, ISO 140001, ISO 450001, IATF 16949, etc.) · Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. · Participate in the quality reporting meetings of the supplier's senior management if necessary. · Support new product launches through APQP approach.Key Internal Interfaces: ·R&D:For all new raw material development ·Procurements : Sharing data for the rejections ·IQC:Ensure the receipt parts are in good condition ·Suppliers : Overseas/Local vendors · Testing Agencies / Equipment vendorsDesired Skills: Functional · Hands on experience in PPAP audits · Ability to review PPAP documents · Certified internal auditor · Six sigma – Green belt holder · Familiar in APQP process & new supplier on boarding · Overseas supplier handling Behavioral · Excellent interpersonal communication, logical analysis & decision-making. · Excellent resource coordination, planning, process control capabilitiesEducation and Experience · Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical) is preferred · 3 to 5 years of experience in Automotive / Chemical / Electronics IndustryDesired Language · Chinese & English language – Mandatory · Kanada, Hindi & Tamil - Optional
