Job Title: Infrastructure and Network Operations Engineer Location:Remote (India) Client:Canada-based Shift:Full-Time Contract | Night Shift (EST Time Zone) Start Date:Immediate Candidate OnlyJob Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experiencedInfrastructure and Network Operations Engineerto join our global IT team. This role combines deep technical knowledge in bothnetwork engineeringandsystems infrastructure , supporting a high-availability environment across data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, global team.Key Responsibilities: Network Responsibilities Plan, design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. Configure and manage firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco), routers, switches, and SD-WAN solutions. Perform proactive monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning of WAN/LAN/MPLS/SDWAN environments. Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues across locations. Define and maintain network policies, security rules, and documentation. Work on routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and OSI layers. Utilize tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, SYSLOG servers, SNMP, and Wireshark for network analysis. Manage network redundancy, high availability, and SLA compliance. Coordinate emergency response during outages or critical failures. Infrastructure Responsibilities Administer and support VMware and Hyper-V environments. Manage AWS and Azure infrastructure including VMs, VDI (Workspaces), storage, and networking. Maintain SQL databases (installation, tuning, backup, and security). Handle SAN, MSA, RAID configuration, and overall storage performance. Support Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) and Active Directory/GPOs. Conduct system and server monitoring to ensure uptime and reliability. Implement and manage backup & disaster recovery strategies. Maintain infrastructure documentation and prepare performance reports. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide Tier-3 technical support.Requirements: Experience:Minimum 6+ years in a combined network and systems infrastructure role. Strong hands-on experience with: VMware, Hyper-V, and virtual environments Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco firewalls AWS/Azure cloud platforms SQL Server and enterprise storage (SAN/MSA) Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.) Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, and Office 365 Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end infrastructure issues independently. Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG) and packet analysis (Wireshark).Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP) CompTIA Network+ VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate)Soft Skills & Competencies: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Capable of multitasking and handling critical support situations Team player with a proactive and customer-centric approach
