This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain exposure to industrial-scale battery modelling, AI-integrated solutions, and cutting-edge simulation tools.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the research, development, and enhancement of physics-based and data-driven battery models for various chemistries (e.g., LFP, NMC). Develop and validate Equivalent Circuit Models (ECM) through advanced parameterization and optimization techniques. Support the design and optimization of state estimation algorithms such as Extended Kalman Filters (EKF) for SOC, SOH, and RUL prediction. Analyze experimental and simulated data to validate models against lab results. Contribute to modelling of battery degradation phenomena like SEI growth, lithium plating, and thermal behavior. Implement battery simulation and analysis using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, and Python. Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in clear technical reports and presentations. Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, software engineers, and hardware teams to integrate models into BMS platforms.Qualifications:A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Understanding of battery electrochemistry, thermal dynamics, and degradation mechanisms. Knowledge of ECM development, EKF algorithms, and state estimation principles. Proficiency in Python programming; experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus. Experience in fields related to battery simulation frameworks (e.g., PyBaMM) or multiphysics software such as COMSOL is advantageous. Familiarity with data analysis techniques and statistical modelling. Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1 level or higher). Demonstrated interest in battery technologies, energy storage systems, or electric mobility solutions.
