This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth business unit that functions like a startup within a larger ecosystem – driving innovation at massive scale, with AI at the core.About the Role As Director of PD, you’ll own the technology roadmap, drive engineering excellence, and lead high-performing teams to build and scale intelligent payroll solutions serving millions of customers globally. You’ll partner closely with product, design, and business teams across geographies while also playing a key leadership role at the India site.Responsibilities Define and drive long-term tech strategy leveraging AI/ML and GenAI to accelerate innovation Lead cross-functional product development teams with high engineering rigor Build and grow world-class talent – from senior engineers to architects and EMs Be a customer champion – stay close to real-world problems and move with urgency Collaborate across functions to align roadmaps, priorities, and execution Lead operational excellence, site engagement, and contribute to org strategyWhat We’re Looking For 15+ years in engineering, with deep experience in SaaS or PaaS platforms Strong background in cloud-native architecture, ideally across front-end and back-end (Java, React, NoSQL, etc.) Proven leadership in scaling global teams and complex platforms Hands-on understanding of AI/ML, GenAI or Agentic AI systems Strong business acumen with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term vision Experience working with global teams and multiple stakeholders across time zones Passion for inclusion, coaching, and creating high-performance culturesWhy This Role?
