You’ll collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to develop visually stunning, performant game content and tools. This role demands a passion for problem-solving, optimization, and delivering high-quality visuals in real-time environments.⸻Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary liaison between art and engineering teams • Design, develop, and maintain art pipelines and tools • Optimize assets and performance for target platforms (PC, console, mobile, VR/AR) • Implement shaders, VFX, and real-time lighting setups • Solve complex technical challenges in rendering, rigging, and animation workflows • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and engines (e.g., Unity) • Provide mentorship and support to junior tech artists and other team members • Ensure asset compliance with performance and memory budgets • Collaborate with the design team to prototype new gameplay features and visual effects • Troubleshoot and debug art-related technical issues in real-time engines⸻Required Skills & Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry • Proficiency with real-time engines (Unity is a plus) • Strong understanding of 2D/3D pipelines (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Houdini) • Expertise in shader programming (HLSL/GLSL/Material Editor in Unreal) • Experience with scripting languages (Python, MEL, Blueprint) • Deep knowledge of PBR workflows, lighting, and rendering optimization • Familiarity with rigging, skinning, and animation systems • Strong problem-solving skills and performance tuning expertise • Excellent communication and collaboration skills⸻Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in CCG game development • Familiarity with VFX tools like Niagara, Cascade, PopcornFX • Knowledge of profiling tools (RenderDoc, PIX) • Background in computer graphics, animation, or computer science • Experience with source control systems (Perforce, Git)
