Job Summary We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer with over 3 years of experience to join our team in Hyderabad. The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising AI-driven solutions for our pharmaceutical products, leveraging expertise in Python, Generative AI, and prompt engineering. This role involves close collaboration with our AI and frontend teams to enhance our existing products and contribute to cutting-edge research in on-premises LLMs. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain AI models and pipelines for pharmaceutical applications, including RootSense, PVLit, and Dossier Generation. Implement and optimise Generative AI solutions using Azure Open AI LLMs and Llama Maverick LLM. Craft effective prompts for LLMs to ensure high-quality outputs tailored to specific use cases. Develop and integrate Python-based APIs and GraphQL for seamless backend orchestration. Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure smooth integration of AI functionalities with React-based applications. Work with Azure SQL and Postgres databases to manage and process data efficiently. Contribute to the deployment of AI solutions on Azure Web Apps, VMs, and containerised environments. Participate in research and development of on-premises LLMs using the Llama stack and proprietary GPUs. Mentor junior AI engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance of AI systems.Required Skills and Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 3 years in AI/ML development, with a focus on Generative AI. Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Python for AI model development and API creation. Strong expertise in Generative AI, including hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., Azure Open AI, Llama). Advanced skills in prompt engineering to optimize LLM performance. Familiarity with GraphQL for backend orchestration. Experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Web Apps, VMs, containers). Working knowledge of databases (Azure SQL, Postgres). Understanding of React for collaboration with frontend teams. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning techniques, including recent methods such as LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation), QLoRA, and PEFT (Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning). Experience in building continuous learning systems to adapt AI models to evolving data and requirements. Experience with on-premises LLM deployment and Llama stack. Knowledge of pharmaceutical domain applications (e.g., QA, pharmacovigilance, dossier generation). Familiarity with containerized deployment strategies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts. Mentoring and leadership capabilities to guide junior engineers. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
