Job Title: SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant Experience Level:7 Years Location:Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Hybrid/On-site, as per company policy) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Consultant to join our technology and operations team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP PM module, with a strong understanding of integration points with other SAP modules. This role will be instrumental in optimizing our asset lifecycle management, improving maintenance efficiency, and ensuring the reliability and availability of our critical assets. Key Responsibilities: Implementation & Configuration: Lead and participate in end-to-end implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects for the SAP Plant Maintenance module, including both ECC and S/4HANA environments. Configure and customize SAP PM functionalities, including but not limited to: Master Data (Functional Locations, Equipment, BOMs, Work Centers, Measuring Points, Characteristics, Classes). Preventive Maintenance (Task Lists, Maintenance Plans, Scheduling). Breakdown Maintenance (Notifications, Work Orders, Confirmations). Corrective Maintenance. Refurbishment Orders. Calibration Processes. Permit-to-Work (PtW) integration. Capacity Planning and Scheduling. Maintenance Reporting and Analytics. Business Analysis & Solution Design: Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders (Maintenance, Operations, Production, EHS) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to asset management and maintenance processes. Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient SAP PM solutions that align with business objectives and SAP best practices. Create detailed functional specifications, blueprint documents, process flows, and solution designs. Integration & Support: Ensure seamless integration of SAP PM with other key SAP modules, particularly MM (Materials Management), FI/CO (Finance & Controlling), QM (Quality Management), PP (Production Planning), and PS (Project Systems). Provide expert-level post-go-live support, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions for production incidents. Work with technical teams (ABAP, Basis) for custom developments and system performance optimization. Testing & Documentation: Develop comprehensive test plans and scripts, and conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Prepare detailed documentation, including configuration guides, process documents, end-user manuals, and training materials. Training & Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions for end-users and key business users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of SAP PM functionalities. Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and knowledge transfer to junior consultants and internal team members. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP PM functionalities, industry trends, and best practices in asset management and maintenance. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to drive efficiency and cost savings. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module implementation and support. Strong expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and practical experience with SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) capabilities. In-depth knowledge of various maintenance processes (preventive, corrective, breakdown, refurbishment, calibration). Solid understanding of PM master data objects and their relationships. Proven experience with integration points between SAP PM and MM, FI/CO, QM, PP. Experience in at least two full lifecycle SAP PM implementations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities. Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications1 (Nice to Have): SAP certification in Plant Maintenance or S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management. Experience with SAP Fiori apps for Plant Maintenance. Exposure to integration with IoT platforms for predictive maintenance. Knowledge of SAP EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) integration with PM. Basic understanding of ABAP debugging for troubleshooting. Experience in middle east public / gov sector is preferred. Prior experience in a consulting firm is a plus.
