We are building the infrastructure from scratch, and we are looking for aSenior Backend Engineerto help design and implement the systems that will power our payment platformglobally .Responsibilities As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building the backbone of Riva’s infrastructure—designingscalable, secure systemsthat handlemission-critical financial flows : Architect and implementour core payment processing engine. Develop reliable and scalablefinancial systems for global operations. Build integration layerswith banking partners and an enterprise-grade reconciliation system. Design and optimizeour payment routing engine to balancespeed and cost . Contribute to technical architectureand long-term infrastructure planning.Qualifications We’re looking for abackend engineerwith a strong foundation insystems designand a passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges in a dynamic environment. You should have: Deep experience with Java (Spring Boot) Proficiency in Python (not mandatory) Strong understanding of database design and performance optimisation Experience working with distributed systems 4+ years of experience in backend development Familiarity with event-driven and high-throughput architecturesWhy Join Us?
