Job Opportunity at ThoughtFocus:Position: Underwriting and Compliance Specialist (US Mortgage) Location: Mysore Experience: 2-3 yearsQualifications: Any graduation4-8 years of experience in underwriting, funding, or compliance Strong communication skills Proficient in basic Excel functionsKey Responsibilities:Underwriting and funding processes Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Effective communication with stakeholders Basic Excel skills for data management and reportingJob Description: Strong fundamental knowledge in US Mortgage Basic understanding of Non-QM Loans Proven experience in credit analysis, property valuation, and regulatory compliance Basic understanding of Secondary mortgage market: MBS, Securitization reports, Loan Pricing, Third Party Reviewers, Investors, Warehouse Banks, Custodian, Loan Servicing. Assist with ingesting all Securitization Reports from LDR (Loan Doc Review team). Combine Third party review reports that are from the same TPR in 3 separate excel tables. ASF, Supplemental and Business Purpose tables Assist with uploading Weekly Tape and exceptions Purchase Advices for Funding Daily database update and well versed with reports Proficient in MS Excel Flexible in Shifts Cross training Excellent communication and stakeholder management Skills Strong understanding of collateral management, document handling, and risk mitigation
