Position: Deputy Manager – Solid Dielectrics Employment Type: Fixed Term Employment (initially for 3 years, with potential for regularization based on performance) Location: Makarpura, Vadodara Compensation: Annual CTC range: ₹11 LPA to ₹17 LPA Qualification: Essential: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or Physics (Full Time) Desirable: Ph.D. in Organic, Inorganic, or Polymer Chemistry, or Physics First Class and above preferred Experience: Minimum 14 to Maximum 18 years of experience in a testing laboratory or the quality control department of industries, with a focus on the testing of solid electrical insulating materials. Key Responsibilities: Plan and supervise daily operations of the solid insulating materials section. Ensure achievement of revenue targets for the section. Prepare capital and recurring budgets and take necessary actions for budget compliance. Handle procurement activities including RFQ preparation, indent processing, and technical evaluations. Guide and motivate the team to engage in R&D activities related to solid insulating materials. Plan and implement quality systems in the laboratory in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Meet annual revenue and capital budget goals as set by management. Monitor and manage both capital and revenue expenditures. Drive improvements in productivity across the section. Skills Required: Technical: Strong knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry. Experience in oil testing and solid insulating materials testing in an accredited lab. Familiarity with NABL accredited labs and ISO 17025 quality system requirements. Behavioral: Proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teams and management. Leadership capabilities to manage and inspire the team. IT Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with ERP systems.
