Role Overview We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Talent & Culture Manager to lead Firefly’s people function as we scale rapidly across India. This is a unique opportunity to build our company culture and HR systems from ground up, while hiring high-impact talent across retail, corporate, and tech functions. Retail hiring is a core part of this role — you will be instrumental in recruiting and scaling our store teams across cities, ensuring we maintain high standards of service and culture as we grow. You’ll work directly with the founders to shape the company’s organizational design, talent strategy, and employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building from zero, and wants to create a truly modern, people-first HR function. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Retail Hiring o Own end-to-end hiring across corporate and retail functions — especially for customer-facing store roles (salespeople, managers, trainers) o Build a high-velocity, multi-location hiring engine for new store launches o Design sourcing strategies and partnerships for attracting top-tier frontline talent o Standardize interview processes and hiring SOPs across locations Culture & People Development o Define and champion Firefly’s company culture and values o Design onboarding experiences tailored to both HQ and retail staff o Lead initiatives for employee engagement, team-building, and values alignment o Roll out L&D programs to upskill store and office teams HR Systems & Compliance o Set up and manage HR systems including onboarding, payroll, performance, and leaves o Ensure compliance with labour laws across geographies and employee types o Collaborate with finance and legal on contracts, audits, and policy documentation Strategic HR Partnering o Advise leadership on org design and long-term team planning o Drive performance management and career growth frameworks o Use people analytics to guide decisions and track retention, engagement, and efficiency Desired Skills & Qualifications 8–12 years of HR experience, with strong talent acquisition skills Experience with retail hiring across multi-city operations Experience in high-growth consumer brands, preferably with both white-collar and frontline hiring Strong understanding of people ops, HR systems, and compliance Excellent communication and people skills — across levels and roles High ownership mindset and a bias for action Comfortable working independently and scaling HR from scratch
